Justin Osterstrom, a fifth-grade teacher, was selected as member of the class of 2011 Kenan Fellow Program for Curriculum and Leadership Development. Mr. Osterstrom will work in partnership with the faculty from NC State’s School of Engineering and the staff from the Boston Museum of Science. This two year partnership will be focused on enhancing the engineering education in elementary classrooms. Mr. Osterstrom’s focus will be developing a project which allows students to solve real-world engineering challenges while developing 21st century skills. This is Mr. Osterstrom’s fifth year teaching. He is a graduate from State University of New York at Fredonia with a BA in Childhood Education.
